Waverley Park is a holiday centre on the outskirts of East Cowes, overlooking the Solent and the mainland beyond. The park offers static caravans and holiday homes for hire, along with a small number of touring pitches. The elevated position gives good views across the water to Southampton and the New Forest.
Facilities include a clubhouse with bar and entertainment, an indoor pool, a games room, a children's play area, and a shop. The park runs family entertainment programmes during school holidays and offers a sociable, community atmosphere. East Cowes is within walking distance, with its chain ferry crossing to Cowes, the Red Funnel car ferry terminal, and Osborne House, Queen Victoria's seaside palace.
Cowes is the sailing capital of the island and hosts Cowes Week, the world's oldest and largest annual sailing regatta, every August. The town has waterfront restaurants, sailing outfitters, and a maritime atmosphere that intensifies during the racing season. The park is well placed for watching the Solent's constant boat traffic and for visiting the western and central parts of the island.
