Grange Farm occupies one of the finest camping positions on the Isle of Wight, set on farmland above Brighstone Bay on the island's south-west coast. The site is a working farm that has welcomed campers for decades, offering a straightforward, no-frills camping experience in a spectacular setting. Pitches are on gently sloping grass fields with views across the Channel, and the walk down to the beach takes about ten minutes along a farm track through the chine.

The site has basic but clean facilities including toilets, showers, washing-up sinks and a small shop selling essentials. There are no hardstandings, electric hookups or glamping pods. This is traditional camping at its best, and the lack of modern additions is part of the appeal. The farm also has a cafe that serves breakfasts, lunches and cream teas, popular with walkers on the coastal path as well as campers.

Brighstone Bay itself is a beautiful stretch of sandy beach backed by fossil-rich cliffs, and the coastal path passes directly through the farm. The village of Brighstone is a short walk inland, with a good pub, a village shop and a church. The Military Road runs along the clifftop above the farm, providing access to Freshwater and Ventnor. Grange Farm fills quickly during school holidays and sunny weekends, and booking ahead is strongly recommended in summer.
