Ninham Country Holidays
Campsite in Near Shanklin
Ninham Country Holidays is a well-established camping and touring park set in the countryside above Shanklin in the south-east of the island. The site occupies a sheltered valley with mature trees and hedgerows, giving it a secluded, woodland feel despite being only a mile from Shanklin town centre and its beach.
The park has good facilities including modern shower blocks, electric hookups, a well-stocked shop, a bar, a games room, and a children's play area. The pitches are on level grass in a series of terraced fields, with some sites offering shade under mature trees. The park has a loyal following of returning campers who value its combination of good facilities and a quiet, rural atmosphere.
Shanklin is an easy walk downhill, with its old village, thatched cottages, the Chine, and the long sandy beach. The coastal path runs along the cliff edge nearby, and the walks inland through the Landslip and along St Boniface Down are among the island's best. Sandown is accessible along the coast, and the island's rail line stops at Shanklin station. The park is a good base for families and couples exploring the south-east corner of the island.
